Tragedy on 9/18/16

This afternoon, we were not shocked when a football team named after horned mountain animals defeated our beloved (however benighted) Seattle Seahawks. 

It was stated by a correspondent to this website that the shot was a long one at any rate. The Rams, after all, have had our number for more than 12 months. Clearly, their opening game in the Greater Los Angeles Area was going to provide them with the correct amount of druthers to do the unthinkable...defeat us. 

We shall rally. We shall clean the blood off of our collective faces and carry on. We are from the Northwest and are used to facing the grim gunmetal despair of autumn with stoic reserve. We shall prevail.

For those who shambled, dazed, through supermarkets this evening still wearing your jerseys and your lucky hats, we say "hope". Number 3 and the rest of the stalwart Hawks will not let us down.
